 Our Club......

In 2004 as girls in the area went to
High School, there was no Saturday
Netball for them. I approached many
clubs but they weren't  interested
in JUNIORS.

Although Bronte RSL were happy to
have us join their Club. Our BONDI
parents felt like.... traitors.

With the spirit of the girls and
the determination of a handful
of parents, we set about establishing
BondiCommunityNetballClub

Born, by the demand of a handful of
Year 7 girls who had played together
at Bondi Beach Public School,
the Club has given these girls a chance
to stay close and establish new friendships

Now these original players are in
Yr9 & 10, still playing and still friends.
A couple have moved on but many more
have joined.

In 2005 we had 2 Teams playing the
U14 Div 2&4. In 2006 we expected
to cater for Yr6-Yr10, depending on
support and demand and we did just that

Huge thanks go to our "Original" sponsor
The Bondi View Community Newspaper
without their support we may not
have got this baby to fly!

Our Club Officers

We started with a Co-ordinator/Coach,
Manager for each Team, a Secretary
and the supportive parents.

New teams had their own Manager
and/or Coach. As the players needs
changed, so did the set-up.

**
2004 : was our inaugral year and both
our Teams reached the Finals Round.

2005 : again FANTASTIC RESULTS!
Runner Up in 2nd Division U14 and
Winner 4th Division U14

2006 : our newest Team of U13 were
Runner Up in 3rd Division "Brilliant"
and wondeful sportsmanship!
U15 Blue in the 1st Division. With many
1/2 games and an apparently
controversial draw. U15 Gold had
another GREAT result: Runner Up
for 3rd Place in 2nd DIvsion.

2007 : 1 Team in Intermediate Comp @
Heffron Park on Saturday Morning.
2 Teams play @ Moore Park Thursday
Nights. Both Competitions set a high
standard and all players learn and
improve constantly. Night games
proove to be particularly popular.
Playing as "spares" for games prior
or post match, is great training!
Playing with guys/adults also brings
interesting results..........

2008 : Night Comp starts on Tues.5th of Feb
@ Moore Park 7.15pm, although we play
the 6.30 timeslot to warm up.

2009 : Night Comp continued on Tues. with
great results. The more the girls played the
better they got. Not taking any breaks saw
them end in the top of their league. The HSC
placed extra presure on all.

2010 : Night Comp starts on Tues.2nd of Feb
@ Moore Park 7.15pm, although when
players decided that they would no longer go
to training: ALL PLAYERS are expected to be
on time for the 6.30 game as a warm up.
Failure to "warm up" may result in 1/2 game 10/01/10
